Biography
Shivani Kannabhiran is a Paris-based sustainability leader who turns human rights due diligence into an operating discipline across sites, suppliers and affected communities. She works where land, water, labour and community issues have a direct impact on business continuity, customer trust and market access.
After a decade shaping sustainability standards at the OECD, she has tested implementation in commercial settings at Danone, BSR and A.T. Kearney. Her expertise covers EU regulations (CSRD S3, CSDDD, deforestation) and international standards including the UN Guiding Principles and OECD due diligence guidance. Her focus includes sustainable and resilient food systems, water governance, livelihoods, living incomes, women and Indigenous Peoples.
She was Director of Social Impact & Communities at Danone, where she defined the company’s strategy on affected communities. She is President of the Board at IMPACT, an NGO focused on community-led minerals governance in Africa and Latin America, and a member of SHE Changes Climate in France. She holds an MBA from INSEAD.
At the Paris Resilience Summit she joins the executive roundtable on food system resilience.
