Biography
Edward Packshaw is a sustainability and climate risk specialist with more than 16 years’ experience working across environmental management, international development, corporate sustainability and climate resilience.
He began his career as a field biologist before moving into sustainability, international development and education, working across a range of countries and sectors. He later joined Mace Group, where as Global Head of Corporate Social Responsibility he helped shape the company’s approach to community engagement, social impact and employee volunteering across its international operations.
For the past six years, Edward has focused on climate risk and resilience, working with organisations to understand how a changing climate could affect their assets, operations, supply chains and financial performance, and how those insights can be translated into practical resilience and adaptation strategies.
He is currently Head of Client Delivery at SmartResilience, where he works with businesses to move climate risk beyond disclosure and scenario analysis towards practical, operational decision-making. His work focuses particularly on physical climate risk, financial impact and helping organisations identify where and how to invest in resilience.
